The colour of grey skies and soil mixed together, the brown, sometimes almost black Smoky Quartz is a highly protective and grounding crystal used by healers and laymen alike.  This stone is one of the few varieties that forms as an Elestial and also occurs with Rutile inclusions.

For those who feel ‘spaced out’  or do healing work, smoky is an excellent grounding stone, as it deepens our connection to Mother Earth.
