Malas have been used for centuries as a tool to aid the meditation practice. They can be used for japa practice, chanting mantras, or mindfulness.
A mala traditionally contains a 108 beads ( a sacred number for the ancients) that allows the meditator to focus on the mantra and let the mala do the counting. Saying a mantra a 108 times is considered powerful and more effective. There are numerous explanations why there are 108 beads, with the number 108 being sacred to the Hindus.

12 Zodiac Houses x 9 Planets = 108
Number of Upanishads or the Scriptures of the Vedas = 108
Reciting to the number 108 reminds us of the entire universe. Thus, when we recite or recount the number 108, we are actually remembering the entire universe. This is a reminder of the innate nature of the Self, free of Ego, and omnipresent.

The 109th bead or the Guru bead is representative of the teachers in our life, a reminder to give thanks and pay homage to that relationship. The tassel is formed by the cluster of strings coming together as one.
It represents our connection to the divine and each other.
Our malas are made with healing crystals and designed with specific combinations to make the most of their healing properties. these malas have a soothing energy and the ability to balance your chakras.
